About the 5-Day Yoga Retreat Programme

Unlike a generic holiday, the 5-day yoga retreat at Rishikesh Yog Nirvana is a structured yet gentle immersion into the yogic way of life. Nestled in Tapovan — the spiritual heartland of Rishikesh — our ashram sits steps away from the sacred Ganges, surrounded by the towering peaks of the Himalayas. The energy of this place is unlike anywhere else on earth, and it amplifies every yoga session, meditation, and moment of stillness you experience here.

Each day of the retreat is thoughtfully balanced between inward practice and outward exploration. Morning sessions open with pranayama and yoga as the Himalayan sun rises over the river. Days include free time, guided walks along the Ganges, visits to sacred temples, and an Ayurvedic massage that deeply relaxes the body. Evening sessions bring the group together for yoga, meditation, and the calming ritual of Ganga Aarti — watching oil lamps drift down the sacred river. Whether you arrive stressed, curious, or simply longing for a reset, this retreat meets you exactly where you are.

All levels welcome. Whether you have never attended a yoga class or practise daily, our teachers adapt every session to your level. No experience or flexibility required — only the intention to show up.

★★★★★

"What a beautiful introduction to what I know will be a lifelong yoga journey. I loved my time at Rishikesh Yog Nirvana — the teachers were great, the food was good, accommodation was comfortable. I will remember this month for the rest of my life."

Emma Sandford

★★★★★

"Good yoga school, dedicated teachers, delicious food, clean and safe environment. It is a small yoga school where they limit group sizes, which in my opinion is very important. This way you get more personal attention. The whole experience felt deeply authentic."

Milda Sakalauskaitė
Lithuania

★★★★★

"Teachers are very helpful and passionate. I have learnt a lot here, not only asana but the whole yogi lifestyle and philosophy. Recommend this school to all people who want to experience real yoga in Rishikesh."
